Day 1 of 30 in 30: Sydney's Local Charity

To kick off the first day of our #cfc30in30 , we want to shed some light on an inspiring little girl. Sydney is the founder of Grown-Kids Art Classes. She truly believes in self-expression, and doesn't let anyone get in between her and her paintbrush! Sydney took time out of her busy summer to put up a lemonade and baked goods stand, where she sold lemonade, cakes, popcorn and our personal favourite - Jello! From homemade signs, to homemade goods, Sydney and her aunt Jani really did it all! She took the funds raised and used them to buy some art supplies for her art classes! When people attended her classes, she asked one thing of them - instead of paying for the art class, she asked that a donation be made to Crafting for a Cure. Sydney was treated to an even bigger surprise! When she came to TD to present the money she and her community had raised, she was greeted by Brian. Brian, and his generous team at the TD branch in Vancouver had matched Syndey’s donation! Looking back at the pictures, we can’t help but smile! It is because of the young leaders like Sydney, that truly beileve in us from all corners of the world that we are able to bring our “cure” to the hospitals. Sydney, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
