Inspired By Crafting For A Cure: Hannah's Vision
30 in 30 day 3 features Hannah and the story that inspired her to become involved with Crafting For A Cure at just 12 years old!
Day 3 of 30 in 30: Hannah's Vision
In 2015, 12 year old Hannah had a vision. A few months before her bat mitzvah, her mom cut out an article from a newspaper, and hung it up on the bulletin board in the kitchen. It was a short article about Pamela, and her initiative to bring smiles to children when a hospital visit is necessary. Over the course of a few months, Hannah did some hospital visits and had to rare opportunity to see the effects of what we do first hand, and she could not be more inspired by what she saw. She set out with a goal - to help CFC bring as many smiles as possible. Together with some of her friends, she held crafting sessions and card making sessions where her friends put together baskets and craft kits, raised money, made jewelry, and made cards for children in the hospital. She even got her camp to do a crafting session! At the bat mitzvah party, her centerpieces were baskets filled with hospital essentials like blankets, crafts and stuffed animals that she later donated to different hospitals. There was also a card making station where her guests could take some time and give back! At just 12 years old, Hannah was able to inspire her friends into paying it forward, and helping out a child in need. Thank you Hannah for your passion, dedication and your belief in our charity! #cfc30in30
